Celebrities live a life we can’t even imagine. Even though they are just as humans as we are, they live an ostentatious life which looks super glamorous on the outside. There are hardly any celebrities who travel in public transports or meet you just like any other person or won’t make you feel any inferior of yourself. This video of Keanu Reeves defies all the conceptions we have about celebrity-life. It is everything you wouldn’t expect from a celebrity.
Reeves has worked in numerous blockbusters including The Matrix and the recent TV show, the John Wick series. Fame like this usually means an arrogant and obnoxious star but Reeves isn’t your typical celebrity. Which celebrity has ever been known to give a handsome amount of his salary to the special effects team just so they could continue work as required? Nobody except for Reeves for the Matrix films. That wasn’t the only time he’d taken a pay cut; both Al Pacino and Gene Hackman were hired on in some of his movies because he gave up millions to pay for their salaries. He literally created (and saved) jobs.
People on his film sets and outside world always seem to appreciate him for the kind of person he is. One of them said: “Since then, I’ve worked on about 30 different sets and have never met an actor as generous and friendly as him. Most actors I’ve seen and worked with are total douches who always think they are better than us. Keanu on the other hand, at the very least, was socially approachable and definitely kind-hearted.”
There was this other worker on the sets of the Chain Reaction who testified: “Back in the late 90s and fresh out of college I got my first job as an assistant prop designer on the set of Chain Reaction (Keanu was a supporting actor with Morgan Freeman). EVERY DAY for the last few weeks of filming, Keanu treated the stage hands and “grunt workers” (including myself) by taking us out for free breakfast and lunch. He was genuinely a very nice guy to work with.”
One of the workers also reported: “That was one example (that involved me directly), but (on the same set), I remember him going out of his way to give my friend a ride to the repair shop to pick up his car… I’ll write more as I remember, but it’s been a while.”
